SLS process optimisation studies

To improve the Solid-Liquid Separation processes already in place at its client’s premises, IFTS optimises the set-up of the mechanical or physical-chemical technologies. Laboratory tests on the real product (at IFTS or on site) allow us to:

·      reproduce the procedure in the laboratory, then

  • find the optimum operating conditions (pressure, flow rate, etc);

·       search for new filtering environments (clothes, plates, non wovens, sintered, filter aids);

·        modify/automate work cycles (filtration, washing, dehydratation, cake removal, etc);

·        improve physical-chemical conditioning (floculation), particularly for sludge with the ECOFLOC methodology (see the document provided for download)

To validate these laboratory results on largest volumes of products, pilot studies are conducted at IFTS or on customer's site.
