Characterisation of liquids, suspensions and sludges

IFTS has know-how and equipment unique in Europe for characterising liquids, suspensions and sludges both for their intrinsic properties (concentration, density, etc) and also their behaviours (sedimentation speed, clogging index, viscosity, granulometry, etc) in relation to one or several Solid-Liquid Separation techniques,e.g.:

·         Liquids to be clarified:

o    turbidity, concentration, size, particulate contamination, chimical composition, zeta potential,…

o    clogging index, filterability, settling velocity, …

·         Pulps, suspensions and sludges to be thickened or dehydrated:

o    concentration, ratio organic/mineral material, rheological property

o    filterability, compressibility, specific resistance, permeability, sludge volume index, dryness...

o    settling velocity, sludge volume index, Kynch curve.

The data measured allow  to determine which Separation technique is most suitable for the product in question and thus to determine the choice of technology to set up or to start a more specific study, for example (feasibility study).
