Centrifugal filtration

Centrifugal filtration

Filtration process in which pressure is replaced by centrifugal force. The suspension of solids to treat is introduced into a rotating cylinder covered by a filter cloth. The centrifugal effect transmits a pressure to the mixture, which causes the liquid to percolate through the filter cloth and through the sediment formed by the particles retained by the filter cloth.
