Particulate contamination of parts, components and industrial workshops

IFTS is the European Centre of Reference in the domain of measuring and controlling particulate contamination of surfaces, parts, components and fluid circuits. IFTS has the capability and know-how to develop, put in place and validate a full range of methods for the extraction of pollutants in all parts/components used by many industries, including the automotive, electronic, aeronautical, space, hydraulic and micro-mechanical industries.

 

Our laboratory, accredited by COFRAC in accordance with ISO 17025, routinely determines the nature, mass and size distribution of all particulate contaminants extracted from components.

 

Our experts provide a recognized assistance, both efficacious and pragmatic, in the control of contamination in manufacturing and installation workshops, most notably for European car manufacturers and their sub-contractors.

 

IFTS has formulated numerous French and international standards in this area, such as the ISO 16232 series, parts 1 to 10, for the world automotive industry.

 

At the Test Centre for Components we develop all the tools, test benches and measuring instruments necessary for the qualification of sensitivity to particulate contamination of all types of components in the transfer and regulation of fluids: pumps, servovalves, regulators, motors, actuators ...
