filter and filtering media TESTS

IFTS is the European Liquid Filter Test Centre

filter and filtering media TESTS
  • Our world-wide clients are:
    • Filter manufacturers, who entrust their Research and Development programmes to IFTS and require certification of performance and/or conformity with specifications
    • Consumers of filters who require comparative tests or verification of conformity of filters to their specifications.
  • IFTS is accredited by COFRAC and the quality control of its testing conforms to ISO 17025.
  • IFTS tests:
    • All liquid filters (fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, drinking water, and other industrial liquids…)
    • Of all filtration ratings (from sterilization filters to coarse self-cleaning filters)
    • At all flow rates between 1 L/h and 50 m3/h (800 L/min)
    • Static and differential pressures up to 500 and 100 bar respectively
  • IFTS measures and certifies:
    • Integrity (bubble point, forward flow and pressure hold test)
    • All levels of performance (filtration efficiency or beta ratio, retention capacity [dirt holding], absolute rating, bacterial challenge …)
    • All mechanical and hydraulic characteristics (permeability, pressure loss, burst or collapse pressure…)
    • All compatibilities (chemical, thermal…)
  • IFTS:
    • Implements any standard test procedure (ISO, NFPA, BS, DIN, CEN, , ASTM, JIS…) or those specified by their clients
    • Searchs and Develops new test methods adapted to meet advances in the filter market
