- The Characterization of Suspensions Laboratory at the Institute possesses know-how and equipment, unique in Europe in the field of Solid-Liquid Separation, enabling it to quantify the behaviour of suspensions using one or several techniques.
- Liquids to clarify: indices of clogging, muddiness, concentration, filterability, speed of sedimentation, moisture content…
- Pulps, suspensions and sludge to thicken or dehydrate

- Data thus measured allows IFTS’s engineers, experts in Solid-Liquid Separation, to pre-size installations, compare alternative solutions, determine how to optimize equipment already in service and advise how to reduce costs or improve the quality of individual products.
